EL CALAFATE & IGUAZU FALLS
ITINERARY
DAY 1: Reception at the airport and transfer to the hotel. Rest of the day free
DAY 2: Breakfast. Departure by route No. 11, bordering Lago Argentino. From the beginning, the trip has pleasant surprises. Leaving the town, on the right we can see Lago Argentino. In the first 40 km the Patagonian steppe is crossed, passing later to the entrance of the National Park to observe the arboreal vegetation. Arrival to "the curve of the sighs" called of this form because it is the first point of where we have a panoramic view of the Glacier Perito Moreno, one of the Natural Wonders of Argentina. Brief stop to take photographs and prosecution to Puerto Bajo las Sombras. Here there is the possibility of navigating the Nautical Safari on the south arm of the Canal de los Témpanos to have different views of the Perito Moreno Glacier wall. (DURATION: 1 hour) Back to the port, we go to the catwalks where we will have a service sector for visitors and a system of balconies and walkways that allow you to walk through different routes and access different really incredible views of the Glacier and the proximity to it. After a free time for hiking and lunch (optional), the return to El Calafate begins.
DAY 3: Breakfast. Day off. We suggest you take optionally the excursion Rios de Hielo Express, which consists of a navigation through the North Arm of the LAGO ARGENTINO up to the CANAL UPSALA, there, if the location of the icebergs allows it, we will approach the Glacier wall. Then we will sail the Canal Spegazzini, where we can observe the Seco Glacier, until we reach the Spegazzini Glacier front, the highest in the National Park.
DAY 4: Breakfast. Transfer from the hotel to the airport to take a flight to Iguazu (flight not included). Reception at the airport and transfer to the hotel. Rest of the day free.
DAY 5: Breakfast. Departure from the hotel to visit the Argentine side of the Iguazú Falls, located within the Iguazú National Park, with an extension of 67,000 hectares; one of the first protected areas in America, declared a World Heritage Site by Unesco and recently declared a Natural Wonder of Humanity. The Waterfalls are integrated by 275 waterfalls that precipitate from an average height of 70 meters. In this section of Sub-Tropical Jungle it is possible to observe during our walk, the great variety of ferns, orchids, begonias, birds and butterflies; as well as, the diversity of native species. We head to the "Central Station" where our option is to take a train service that takes us to the "Estación Cataratas" and / or "Estación Garganta del Diablo". Another way to access the Cataratas Circuits (Upper and Lower Rides) is through the "Sendero Verde" Pedestrian Path, 600 meters long, which starts at the Visitors' Service Center and ends at the Cataratas Station. From this point we can perform the: Superior Walk, Lower Walk and Garganta del Diablo. Check optional to make this day in the park as Ecological Walk, Nautical Safari or Great adventure.
DAY 6: Breakfast. Departure from the hotel to visit the Brazilian side of the Iguazu Falls. All passengers must have the necessary documentation to leave Argentina and enter Brazil (check requirements according to each nationality). Upon arrival at the Visitors Center, we embark on the buses that start the walk inside the park and will take us to the start of the footbridges, which will cover 1,200 meters of footpath over the Iguazú River ravine. At this starting point of the tour, we have a panoramic view of the Argentine jumps. It is the scenery to take pictures. Advancing along the route, we will observe the Iguazu River canyon, the Rivadavia waterfall and Tres Mosqueteros, among others. Towards the end of the route we will reach the lower viewpoint of Garganta del Diablo, which at this point is about 200 meters. away. The tour ends next to the Floriano Falls, where the elevator that takes us to the parking level of the buses is installed. Back to the hotel.
DAY 7: Breakfast. Shuttle to the airport at the set time. End of our services.
