ITINERARY
DAY 1: Reception at the Trelew airport and transfer to the hotel in Puerto Madryn. Rest of the day free
DAY 2: Breakfast. We leave from Puerto Madryn in a northerly direction until we arrive at the control post where the entrance to the area is paid and we begin to explore and discover the charms of the Peninsula, its landscape, its flora and its fauna. Then we enter the Isthmus Carlos Ameghino which is a narrow strip of land that connects the Peninsula with the continent. The first stop we made is at the "Carlos Ameghino Interpretation Center", which provides information on the Peninsula's ecosystem, the marine fauna species that are concentrated in large settlements throughout the Peninsula, the flora and history of the region. We continue the journey until we reach Puerto Pirámides, the only tourist village on the Peninsula and the only place allowed to observe wildlife on board. Its beaches are protected by cliffs (fences) that resemble pyramids, hence its name. In the village we make a stop of approximately 2 hours to embark on the unforgettable experience of navigating the waters of the Golfo Nuevo. The navigations are carried out in vessels of different capacities, from 5 to 70 passengers, and last approximately one to two hours.
DAY 3: Breakfast. Transfer to the airport to take flight (not included) to Ushuaia. Reception at the airport and transfer to hotel. Rest of the afternoon free.
DAY 4: Breakfast. Leaving Ushuaia, in southwest direction, we will cross the national route No. 3, towards the Tierra del Fuego National Park. In the eleven kilometers that separate the cover of the park from the city of Ushuaia, we will stop near the Equestrian Center, where we will have excellent panoramic views of the Beagle Channel, the Ushuaia Peninsula and the Bridges, Willie and Les Eclauriers archipelagos. After crossing the bridge of the Pipo River, next to the Ushuaia Golf Club, we will arrive at the Ferrocarril Austral Fueguino station, the End of the World Train. Those passengers who wish to board the End of the World Train optionally may do so. The rest of the group will wait at the end of the route. We continue the route 2 more kilometers and enter the National Park, an area reserved for the protection of the Subantarctic Forest, native flora and fauna. Along the road surrounded by forests of Lengas and peat bogs, we will reach the Acigami Lake, lake of glacial origin, whose area is 5.50 square kilometers, framed by mountains and forests, where it is possible to spot specimens of native birds . The last section of the tour takes us to Lapataia Bay, after crossing the archipelago cormorants, peat bogs and visit to a dam of beavers. In Lapataia Bay, in addition to the marine coast, rich in molluscs and mussels, we will find vestiges of the ancient aboriginal town that inhabited the region. There we will have time to walk the catwalk from which we can take pictures and enjoy the feeling of being at the end of the world. From this place, the end of National Route No. 3, we will begin the return to Ushuaia.
DAY 5: Breakfast. Transfer to the airport to take flight (not included) to El Calafate. Reception at the airport and transfer to hotel. Rest of the day free.
DAY 6: Breakfast. Departure by route No. 11, bordering Lake Argentino. From the beginning, the trip has pleasant surprises. Leaving the town we can see Lake Argentino and Redonda Bay. In the first 40 km the Patagonian steppe is crossed, passing later to the entrance of the National Park to observe the arboreal vegetation Arrival to "the curve of the sighs" called of this form because it is the first point of where we have a panoramic view of the Glacier Perito Moreno, one of the Natural Wonders of Argentina. Brief stop to take photographs and prosecution to Puerto Bajo las Sombras. Here there is the possibility of navigating the Nautical Safari on the south arm of the Canal de los Témpanos to have different views of the Perito Moreno Glacier wall. (DURATION: 1 hour) Back to the port, we go to the catwalks where we will have a service sector for visitors and a system of balconies and walkways that allow you to walk through different routes and access different really incredible views of the Glacier and the proximity to it. After a free time for hiking and lunch (optional), the return to El Calafate begins.
DAY 7: Breakfast. Day off. We suggest optionally take the Rios de Hielo Express excursion, which consists of a navigation through the North Arm of the Argentino Lake up to the Upsala Channel, there, if the location of the icebergs allows it, we will approach the Glacier wall. Then we will sail the Canal Spegazzini, where we can observe the Seco Glacier, until we reach the Spegazzini Glacier front, the highest in the National Park.
DAY 8: Breakfast. Shuttle to the airport at the set time. End of our services.
